Purpose & Origin

I grew up on a small cattle ranch, and as soon as I could, I started building my own herd. I tried just about every cattle record app on the market. I even built my own. And I'd still end up at the desk staring at a clipboard, a notebook, and the torn-off top of a cardboard box, all covered with notes waiting to be entered.

Even a good app means pulling out your phone, unlocking it, opening the app, and typing. That's not practical with gloves on, in a tractor, in a truck, or on a horse.

There had to be a better way to get the record in from the field. That became Herd Advisor: say what happened, it files the record, you confirm it later. Nothing is final until you say so.

The market side came after. Like most cow/calf producers, I sell calves through local auctions and always wonder if I picked the right week or the right barn. Complete's Cattle Market Guide is that piece — forecasts at 250+ auctions. It sits on top of the records. It is not the product.

Mission & Vision

Our mission is simple: help ranchers keep records they'll actually use, and make better decisions from them.

Ranching is more than a business. It's a way of life built on hard work, stewardship, and care for the land and the animals. The daily problem is still the same: the record doesn't get made when your hands are full.

The Cattle Record Guide is the foundation. Voice-first records, a review queue, and an app that works offline. Forecasts and AI sit on top of that, for people who want them.

This is just the beginning. We'll keep building tools ranchers will actually use — not another thing that looks good in the office and dies in the pasture.
